My First Photoshoot!

How are you today? Here in Sydney is raining but I’m busy so it looks like is going to be a good day! 😉

Today I wanna talk about my first ever photoshoot! OMG I was so stressed! Ahah I was so scared that I wouldn’t know where to start and what to do……but this is the good kind of stress, the one that pushes you to do better!

It wasn’t anything big, it was for an exam at the make-up school (I studied at “The Make-Up Technician” in Sydney…loved it, I’m so grateful to them!). We had to organise the model and the design of the makeup, it had to be natural with just a little extra touch, I decided to stay safe and stick with what I new because my goal was mostly understand how to deal with model and photographer.

As a model I choose one of my best friends: Jessica! She is beautiful and she has a great eye shape for makeup 😉 The photographer was organised from the school. I still remember the feeling of excitement, and worries, while doing the makeup, fortunately my friend was liking and that made me a bit more confident to finally go in for photos 😉

What was worrying the most was directing the model for photos and deal with the photographer, but once I got into the room and saw the set (light, camera, background), WOW! I was happy, excited,inspired…ther I got the confirm that for me that was the place to be!! Makeup artist had to be my all time job, and I wanted to start pushing to meke it happen! And so I did 😉

I really liked how the make up looked in the photos, I think it s simple but sophisticated, I decided to do a natural base with a bit of eye contouring and winged eyeliner with strong lipstick (my everyday look ahah :P). And I thought that would look good with her Tatoo of 3 dots that she has under the eyes…….unfortunatly the photographer photoshopped it out, he didn’t like them 😦 …I was a bit annoyed but I still have my behind the scenes photos 😉

For the hair I chose a wet look with straight hair, all at the back:

Come va? Oggi a Sydney piove ma io ho un sacco di cose da fare quindi sarà una bella giornata! 🙂

Oggi voglio parlarvi del mio primissimo servizio fotografico, ero super agitata ahah! Avevo paura di non sapere da dove iniziare e cosa fare, ma questa e l’ansia bella…quella che ti spinge a fare di meglio! 😉

Dovevamo trovare noi la modella e progettare il trucco, io ho deciso di fare un trucco semplice con piccoli extra, volevo fare qualcosa che ero abituata a fare per concentrarmi sull’imparare come comportarmi con la modella e il fotografo.

Come modella ho scelto una delle mie migliori amiche: Jessica 🙂 E bella e ha occhi perfetti da truccare! Il fotografo era stato organizzato dalla scuola. Non mi scorderò mai quella sensazioni di ansia, attesa, preoccupazione e eccitazione, quelle buone, quelle di quando non vedi l’ora che il momento arrivi! La mia amica mi aveva tranquillizzato perché il trucco le piaceva quindi sono entrata sul set per le foto un po più sicura 😉

Non avevo idea di come dirigere la modella o comportarmi con il fotografo ma una volta e entrata sul set…magia! Le luci, il background, le macine fotografiche, li e dove voglio lavorare……a dirigere la modella ci pensa il fotografo io devo solo controllare che capelli e trucco siano a posto ad ogni scatto 🙂 E il trucco in foto mi sembrava più bello 😀 Era semplice e sofisticato, sugli occhi ho fatto solo un po di contouring e aggiunto eyeliner, che si addiceva ai 3 puntini che Jessica ha tatuati sotto l’occhio 🙂 Che pero poi il fotografo ha levato con photoshop, non so perché ma va be, ho le foto dietro le quinte 😉

Sono contenta di aver tirato i capelli indietro cosi da far vedere bene tutto il viso, e comunque e uno stile che mi piace molto sta bene a Jessica 🙂

Let’s start from…the base!

I thought the best way to start this journey is talking about the “base” of all my works….my favourite foundation!

A good base can make all the difference in the final look and on how long the makeup will look good (we all want it to last the all-day…or the all night :P).

So before deciding which one was going to be the one I tried a few of them, there a are some that I like, like MAC, Fenty, Huda Beauty, Chanel and Kryolan, but for me the best one is the HD Foundation from MAKEUP FOREVER! 

I absolutely love it!! The way it makes the skin look both face to face and on camera is stunning, the skin always looks flawless! I find that it has good coverage without looking cacky and it also feel light on the skin.

I normally use it straight after moisturizer and eye concealer, I apply primer just when needed (I’m not a big fan of too many layers, for me the most natural it looks the better 😉 ).

I do contouring on top with lighter/darker foundation colours or creams (Makeup Forever or Kryolan usually) and to finish I use another great product from MUFE: HD Translucent Loose Powder, everybody will have perfect skin! 😉

This foundation comes in 50 different shade red based and yellow based. The one I use the most is Y245, on a lot of people it match perfectly, if it doesn’t match I mix it with a darker or lighter shade, or if the person’s skin is red based I would add some drop of a red based colour (I never use a red based foundation all over the face, I find it looks too red). On darker skin tones I mostly used a mis of yellow and red based foundation colours.

The flawless finish that the foundation gives comes from some particular characteristics (you can get those informations from MUFE or Sephora websites) :

  • 3D polymer gel: This three-dimensional technology fuses on the skin and smoothens skin texture with full transparency.
  • Hyaluronic acid micro-spheres: A natural component of the skin, it acts in perfect harmony with the skin and helps to maintain hydration.
  • Plant-derived lysine powder: When applied, this amino acid spreads the powders and pigments evenly and provides a comfortable glide.
  • Soft focus pigments: This additional filter helps to unify and correct.

APPLICATION

To apply it I use a flat foundation brush (I don’t wet it as their is already moisturizer on the skin) and  apply just one layer, a little bit of foundation goes a long way 😉 , I apply an extra layer just if needed for more coverage.

I also like to use my hands if I want a very sheer coverage, it is also a little treat for the model in you add a little massage 😉

“Ciaoooo:) Come state? Ho pensato che il modo migliore per iniziare questa avventura fosse parlare della “base” di tutti i miei lavori……ill fondotinta! Una buona base può fare la differenza nella riuscita del look finale e nella durata del trucco (tutti vogliamo che duri tutto il giorno…..o tutta la notte ;P ). Prima di decidere quale fosse il mio preferito ne ho provati alcuni come MAC, Huda Beauty, Chanel e Kryolan, ma il mio preferito e l’HD Foundation di MAKEUP FOREVER! Lo adoro!! Rende la pelle perfetta sia dal vivo che in video e foto! Ha buona copertura senza apparire pesante, anche sulla pelle e molto leggero. Normalmente lo uso subito sopra alla crema viso e correttore, uso i primer solo quando sono necessari ( non mi piacciono tanto le basi pesanti e con tanti strati 😉 ). Faccio il contouring sopra al fondotinta con dei toni dello stesso fondotinta più scuri e più chiari o uso i fondotinta in crema di MUFE o Kryolan. Per fissare uso sempre un’alto grande prodotto di Makeup Forevere: la HD Translucent Loose Powder! Con questa la pelle appare davvero perfetta!! Questo fondotinta e prodotto in 50 colori, tra cui alcuni a base gialla e alcuni a base rossa. Il colore che uso di più e Y245, su molte persone e il colore perfetto, quando e diverso di solito lo uso comunque e ci aggiungo tonalità più scure o più chiare a seconda del tipo di pelle. Se la pelle e a base rossa aggiungo qualche goccia di un fondotinta da a base rossa a questo cosi che la pelle non apparire troppo arrossata ma comunque combacia con il colore del corpo. Solo su pelli scure mi e capitato di usare molto i colori a base rossa. Ma cosa rende questo fondotinta cosi speciale?

-e un gel a 30polimeri: e una tecnologia tridimensionale che rende liscia la superficie della pelle con completa trasparenza;

-microsfere di acido ialuronico: un componente naturale della pelle con cui agisce in modo armonico e la mantiene idratata;

-polvere di lisina derivata dalle piante: quando applicato, questo amminoacido distribuisce le polveri ed i pigmenti in maniera omogenea;

-pigmenti soft focus: un filter aggiuntivo che aiuta a unificare e correggere imperfezioni dei colori e della pelle.

Per applicare questo fondotinta di solito uso un pennello da fondotinta piatto e non bagnato, la pelle e già morbida ed idratata grazie alla crema. Ne applico prima uno strato e ne aggiungo un altro solo se necessario per una migliore copertura. Mi piacer applicarlo anche direttamente con le mani, in questo modo risulta molto leggero ed e anche un piccolo massaggio per la modella 😉

Hi Guys!! 🙂 Welcome to my World! 😀

During this hard time of isolation and quarantine, where all our jobs have unfortunatley slow down, I asked myself a lot of time how could I still do something related to my job…because of course at the moment all make-up jobs are suspended :(.

So I decided that at list I can talk about make-up 🙂 It will make me feel like I’m still in the game 😉 I’ll talk about my fav products but mostly about the behind the scenes…that great World behind the camera that nobody ever see…..there is where I feel happy and accomplished, it’s fun, it’s bubbling…it’s where a lot of different people with different passion share the same goal and hunger for creativity!! ❤

I thought I would start this journey showing you my favourite makeup but instead I’ll show you…me! 😀 Doing what I love the most……..
